What Our Church Believes
GOD
We believe in the one living and true God, as loving, holy, eternal, unlimited in power, wisdom, and goodness. HE is the Creator and preserver of all things. Within God, there is a unity of three persons of one nature, power and eternity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
THE FATHER
We believe the Father is the source of all that there is, and all that exists. With the Son and the Holy Spirit, they made mankind, both male and female, in HIS image. HE relates to humans as Father, thereby forever declaring HIS goodwill toward them. In love, HE both seeks and receives repented sinners.
THE SON
We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. HE was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. HE was truly God and truly man. HE died on the cross and was buried, to be a sacrifice for all sin, and to reconcile us to the Father. Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, and from there, HE intercedes for us at the Father’s right hand until HE returns again to judge all humanity at the last day.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son, and is the same nature and glory, as the Father and the Son, and is truly an eternally God. HE is the agent in the conviction of sin. HE is ever present, assuring, preserving, guiding, and enabling the believer.
SALVATION
We believe that when one confesses with their mouth and believes in their heart that Jesus was raised from the dead, and HE is the only way to spend eternity with the Father, then they are saved.
